In-person social events where you meet different people through a series of organized conversations. Each conversation begins with either a shared interest or a discussion question, giving you something to talk about while keeping the conversation open and unscripted.
These events are for meeting new people and possibly making new friends. They are not for dating or business networking.

Every event follows a clear process, so you will know what is happening and what to do at each stage. Here is a general overview of what the experience looks like from the time you arrive until the final conversation ends.

Start with a brief introduction
The event begins with an explanation of how everything will work. The organizer walks everyone through the process and shows everyone how to open and use the event web app in a browser on their phones. Throughout the event, you can ask for help if you have a question or are unsure what to do next.

Choose topics you are open to discussing
Before the conversations begin, you answer a short questionnaire about your interests, hobbies, and other subjects you might enjoy talking about. Your selections help identify possible starting points for your conversations with other participants.

Meet different people through organized conversations
After everyone has selected their topics, the event moves into a series of conversations with different people in the room. Before each conversation, the event web app shows you where to go and who you will be meeting. The other people in the conversation receive the same information, so the meeting is already arranged for everyone involved.

Begin with a shared topic or discussion question
Every conversation comes with a starting point. It may be a specific interest shared by the people in the conversation or a broader discussion question. This gives everyone something clear to begin with while keeping the conversation itself open and unscripted.

Move on to the next conversation
Each conversation lasts for a set amount of time. When the time is up, the conversation ends for everyone at the same time, and participants move on to the next one. You then receive new meeting information and begin again with different participants. This continues through several conversations during the event.

About the organizer
Hi, I am Vlad. I developed the structure of these events and built the web application that organizes the conversations. I also currently organize and host the local events here in Omaha.
I started this project because I noticed a common problem with typical social gatherings. Even when everyone is in the same room, it is still hard to know who to approach and what to say first. I wanted to create a practical system that handles those initial steps for you, leaving you free to just enjoy the actual conversation.

Your information during the event
The event is designed to leave you in control of what you share with others.
The contact details you provide to register or receive updates are used only for event communication and are never shown to other participants. During the event, the web app shows only the shared topics or discussion prompt for your current conversation. Your other questionnaire answers are not shown to other participants.
The web app does not exchange contact information or provide a way to contact other participants after the event. You remain in control of what you share during a conversation and whether you exchange contact information in person.
